RCU_25 is hung across two walls in the Hill Art Foundation’s central gallery. In the portion bridging the walls, styrofoam has been placed behind the canvas as an added layer of protection against the sun and heat.

Styrofoam is normally used as an insulating or protective material, used in packaging and shipping to keep objects in place and away from the elements. N. Dash typically uses styrofoam as a material within the paintings, however, in this application, the artist also returns to the material’s utilitarian roots.
