I played with him and he treated me with utmost respect, and I was young back then. He was very encouraging with the whole band.

Sad to learn that such a great musician spread so much unhappiness and negativity as to be associated with this type of behavior. The lesson that I take out of this is that , no matter what, making people feel joy and inspiring them is an important responsibility that all of us musicians must embrace.

He lived in Toas NM for a while, I've played a few times with him when I was really young. He would yell at cats so much that he would make grown men cry. He had me turn my guitar volume completely off once and told me I was too loud.
