This week I stumbled upon another hidden gem- Papercourt Lake🩵nestled between Ripley and Send.
The reserve is home to two lakes, but it was the smaller one that completely captured my heart. Its surface was almost entirely covered with hundreds of beautiful water lilies, creating one of the most breathtaking sights I’ve ever seen. It felt peaceful, untouched, and almost magical.
The entire area has a wonderfully wild feel, with lush vegetation, quiet woodland paths, and an abundance of wildlife all around. Every turn revealed something new, making it the kind of place where time seems to slow down and you can simply lose yourself in nature.
It’s the perfect destination for a peaceful walk, whether you’re looking to escape the noise of everyday life, enjoy the birdsong, or simply admire the beauty of the landscape. Places like this remind me just how many extraordinary corners of nature are still waiting to be discovered.
I already can’t wait to return.
