We’ve been very garden forward these last few months (photos incoming) so not a lot has been going on in the actual house recently.

But finally got some stair rods (fb marketplace ofc) that Sam has fitted and I love em👌🏾

The next generation of the Ambani family took centre stage as Reliance Jio marked a historic milestone in Mumbai on Thursday, October 15, ahead of what is set to become India’s biggest-ever initial public offering (IPO).

Akash Ambani, Isha Ambani and Anant Ambani were part of the next-generation leadership entrusted with taking Jio Platforms public, marking a significant chapter in the business empire founded by their grandfather, Dhirubhai Ambani. Akash and Isha also addressed the IPO announcement event, outlining Jio’s journey and future ambitions.

The upcoming IPO is expected to raise as much as ₹30,213 crore, surpassing Hyundai Motor India’s ₹27,870 crore offering in 2024. Jio has fixed its price band at ₹1,065 to ₹1,119 per share, valuing the company at approximately ₹10.3 lakh crore at the upper end. Public subscription will open on October 21 and close on October 23.

During the event, Isha Ambani shared an interesting story about how Jio’s journey began. She recalled struggling to submit a college assignment because of poor internet connectivity in Mumbai around 2009-10. The experience sparked conversations with her brother Akash about why India lacked the digital connectivity available in Western countries.

Akash, who serves as Jio Platforms’ Managing Director, highlighted the company’s technology capabilities, 5G infrastructure and ambitions to capture opportunities in India’s growing digital economy.

Veteran banker Uday Kotak described the upcoming IPO as a testament to the next generation of Reliance’s leadership, particularly Akash and Isha, while acknowledging Mukesh Ambani’s guidance.

The occasion also carries historical significance. Nearly five decades after Dhirubhai Ambani took Reliance Industries public in 1977, his grandchildren are helping lead another landmark moment for the conglomerate.

With over 53 crore subscribers and a record-breaking public offering approaching, Jio’s IPO represents both a major financial milestone and a generational transition in one of India’s most influential business families.
