Sharing nature pics on a Meta-owned platform shouldn’t feel political.

And yet in 2026 America, somehow I’m anxious about posting a cute little 10-second video flying over parts of Utah’s Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument & pics of nearby Glen Canyon, while urging people to defend these lands from being whittled down to less than 10% of their size by this administration. (They do have a track record of sending people to prison for using their 1st amendment rights and for being legal observers to illegal kidnappings, after all.)

If you ❤️ the outdoors and have a spare minute or two, please consider calling your elected officials via @5calls or sign petitions via @resistbot @monumentsforusa @conservationlands @npcapics @parksproject @resistancerangers (to name just a few) and urge them to defend GSENM & Bear Ears National Monument, which also hold sacred Indigenous areas and cultural sites.
