We didn’t take home the Emmy tonight, but I'm truly blessed to now be a Emmy Nominated TV Host and Chef and I’m leaving with a heart full of gratitude. 🙏🏾❤️

To hear Savor the City with Chef Jernard named among the Daytime Emmy nominees is a moment I will always cherish. This journey has given me so much to be thankful for the people, the stories, the communities, and the opportunity to share my love of food with the world.

First, I thank God for giving me the gift of conversation and good food, and for opening doors that have allowed me to use those gifts with purpose.

To my TV One and Urban One family Cathy Hughes, Alfred Liggins, Michelle Rice & Susan Henry thank you for believing in me and this vision. To my Powerhouse Productions family Rochelle, Sonia, Kenny, Jaylah, Zamia, Jason, Andre, and Cee thank you for the talent, heart, and hard work you pour into this show. I’m proud of what we’ve created together.

To my beautiful wife, Keena, thank you for standing beside me for 27 years. Baby, look how far we’ve come together. To my mother, Gwendolyn look what you created. Your love continues to travel with me everywhere I go.

To my children and my Cornbread & Butter Restaurant family holding it down back home in Atlanta and my team on the @onevoyagecruise , and everyone who prayed, watched, supported, and cheered us on please know how much you mean to me.

Congratulations to tonight’s winners and all my fellow nominees. It was an honor to share this moment with you.

Tonight, I’m thankful. I’m proud of our team. And I’m excited for the stories we have yet to tell.

With love and gratitude,
Chef Jernard ❤️
