Book Bar has been a sensation from the moment it was announced.
Turns out that, in a moment characterized by digital malaise and social isolation, a beautiful, welcoming space full of books and food and drinks is exactly what people have been craving.
StudioDA work with Book Bar’s founders, Tom and Robin, to build a narrative around the power of books to bring people together. Building on this, we developed a visual identity system that we’ve since rolled out across merch, signage and so much more.
Book Bar is also a fantastic example of the magic that happens when we work with our sister company, @designagency.co. The interiors are spectacular. And the street itself—a revitalized strip of Markham, amidst Mirvish Village, also home to Badiali and Blackbird—is going to be Toronto’s most charming, vibrant commercial strip.
