Adventure With Aisha: Idlewild Edition ✨

I’m all about rest and restoration, and @blackedenweekend delivered exactly that.

Last weekend didn’t go as planned, but it turned out to be exactly what I needed: trees, lakes, fresh air, deep sleep, limited Wi-Fi, no packed itinerary, and space to simply be.

Yes, I stayed in a cozy camper and loved every inch of it. 😊

I saw Morton’s Motel, Black Eden Brews, The Flamingo Club, Idlewild Beach, and learned more about the rich history of this special place. I’m inspired by the passion so many people have for preserving and revitalizing this historic destination.

One of my favorite stops was Black Eden Brews. Not only did I discover that my friends @kindredthefam are headlining the Live at Idlewild concert series, but I also had THE most delicious overnight oats with peaches, pecans, and chia seeds. I’ve had overnight oats before and honestly wasn’t impressed. These were different!

So now I have one important question: @blackedenbrews.idlewildcoffeebar … can I get that recipe? 👀🥣🍑

Sometimes the best adventures aren’t about doing more. They’re about slowing down enough to receive what’s already there.
