Abundance isn’t always a packed calendar or a bigger check.

Sometimes it’s vending with your niece, working alongside your dad, catching the light rail for $2, reconnecting with an old friend, laughing with cousins, and making time for really good gelato. These are the good times! 😂🍨

Baltimore reminded me that Abundance In Business also means having a business that makes room for LIFE. Family. Friendship. Exploration. Meaningful work. Moving a little slower.

Still buzzing from the Philly Youth Music Festival! The energy was unreal.

30 youth‑serving orgs, two stages, nonstop performances, games, free resources, and a whole lot of love for the city’s young creatives. Grateful for every org, every performer, every student who tapped in.

Honoring a few of the folks who made it shine:
• Matt @beyond_the_bars for leading with heart
• @revive_poc for teaching real media skills
• @famfrequencyphilly for keeping the music flowing
• Cyrus + Nyla for showing up strong for The Ella Agency

Philly youth showed OUT. This is what community and collaboration looks like. 💗💗💗

Choosing to celebrate freedom differently this year. Continuing my practice of starting the day with devotion, intention, and deep gratitude for the life I get to choose. Added healthy food, soul-clearing music, and sunshine that reminds me what it feels like to be free in mind, body, and spirit. Today, I’m honoring the freedom to love deeply, serve humbly, and live well. Thanks @hikeandheal for introducing me to my new favorite lunch spot.

Adventure With Aisha: Idlewild Edition ✨

I’m all about rest and restoration, and @blackedenweekend delivered exactly that.

Last weekend didn’t go as planned, but it turned out to be exactly what I needed: trees, lakes, fresh air, deep sleep, limited Wi-Fi, no packed itinerary, and space to simply be.

Yes, I stayed in a cozy camper and loved every inch of it. 😊

I saw Morton’s Motel, Black Eden Brews, The Flamingo Club, Idlewild Beach, and learned more about the rich history of this special place. I’m inspired by the passion so many people have for preserving and revitalizing this historic destination.

One of my favorite stops was Black Eden Brews. Not only did I discover that my friends @kindredthefam are headlining the Live at Idlewild concert series, but I also had THE most delicious overnight oats with peaches, pecans, and chia seeds. I’ve had overnight oats before and honestly wasn’t impressed. These were different!

So now I have one important question: @blackedenbrews.idlewildcoffeebar … can I get that recipe? 👀🥣🍑

Sometimes the best adventures aren’t about doing more. They’re about slowing down enough to receive what’s already there.

Thank you, @growwithchryssy, for the introduction.

This is what love in action looks like.

I’ve known my friend @lamonteghayes for more than 20 years. We’ve supported each other through different seasons of life, business, wins, and challenges. One thing has never changed: when he calls, I answer. When I call, he answers.

Back in 2019, Lamonte connected me and @allblackeverythingpopup with @chanelcdm while we were working on a Detroit-based project. That introduction grew into a relationship, and over the years I’ve had the privilege of watching Chanel’s vision expand while creating opportunities for so many others along the way.

When she shared her vision for the Hart of Detroit Summer Festival, the assignment was clear: help build partnerships that support the long-term growth of the festival and its impact on the community. They secured great sponsors this year and now we get to expand.

One of my favorite moments was watching my daughter Ayana step into a leadership role in the Frequency Media Room. So many of you have watched her grow up, and seeing her contribute her talents alongside such an incredible team was a proud mom moment I’ll never forget.

What made this experience even more special was being part of a team led primarily by faith-filled Black women, supported by Black men who showed up with humility, collaboration, and love.

This was a reminder that some of the most meaningful opportunities come from relationships that have been nurtured over time.

And this is only the beginning. ❤️

Stepping into tonight’s conversation with full energy and intention.
Black institutions thrive when our vision is clear, our strategy is strong, and our wellness is protected. Succession isn’t an afterthought, it is an integral part of the strategy.

Honored to speak at From Vision to Strategy: How Black Leaders Build Sustainable Institutions.

Music has always played a significant role in my life. Philadelphia has the most incredible singers, lyricists, songwriters, musicians, producers, and DJs. As I looked for something to lift my spirits, I returned to the AIB motivation mix that I created for times when I need something to shift my mood. Today was one of those days. The first song that played was kismet “I’m Ready” by Kindred The Family Soul. One of my all time favorite songs!!!

Music has a way of transporting you to different times in your life. It took me back to playing this song on repeat back in 2005. I smiled and sang at the top of my lungs. “I’m ready. This is my time. All that I hope for is mine. It’s mine. It’s mine!” Every word in this song is a testimony and an affirmation.

This month is Philly Music Month. Let’s celebrate the rich musical legacy of this city. Listen to the music, tag the artists in your post, go to the shows, let them know how much they truly mean to you. I love @kindredthewife and @kindredthefam for being dope individuals AND creating music that speaks to how I’m feeling. Their music has helped me in every season of my life. ❤️❤️❤️
