« How can a trace contain time, and what remains of a gesture once the movement itself has vanished? »
Farid Kati explores the “language of wind” through sensitive machines and devices that translate air currents into visible movement. Installed within specific environments, these constructions operate at the threshold between control and surrender: carefully designed, yet fully activated by the unpredictable forces of the wind. His work questions how technology can engage with natural environments not as a tool of mastery, but as a form of attentive listening, where the machine becomes an instrument of perception and exchange.

The artworks are visible in the group exhibition « Gesture(s), Trace(s) and Breath(s) », co-curated by @antoine_le_clezio & @galerie_maxime_allain at @le_clezio_gallery until August 9, 2026, as part of the celebration of the 140th anniversary of diplomatic relations between France and Korea.
