Beers London @beerslondon open call offers the option for artists applying to get a critique of their application from the gallery team or gallery director. I think this is a truly brilliant chance to understand as an artist how a gallerist views your work. So often we apply to these shows or submissions and receive no feedback. Thank you @kurtbeers_ for the detailed and insightful response to my work, you have given me a lot to think about, framed in a positive and encouraging format. This is one of the small pieces that formed part of the application and I take on the challenge to go larger. Over summer I’ll be stretching some sizeable canvases for a big attack! I’d encourage anyone applying to add the critique onto their application.
