We all carry things that aren’t always visible. Behind every face is a story we cannot always see. For this ongoing project, I’ve been photographing people from different walks of life and asking them to speak openly about their relationship with mental health. This time with @ayaaskert. It’s about creating space for those things — the thoughts, struggles, fears and experiences we often keep to ourselves. Through intimate portraits and honest conversations, I wanted to explore the many different faces of mental health and remind us that there is no single way to struggle, heal, or simply be. World Mental Health Day may fall on October 10th, but mental health deserves more than a single day of recognition. So let’s extend it into a week — a reminder that our minds, our stories, and the things we carry deserve space, understanding, and compassion all year round.
