Happy ONE YEAR to WWUB! 💛🖤 @wwubathletics

It’s hard to believe that what started as a simple conversation has grown into something that has blessed so many people.

A little over a year ago, my friend Brandy @bkwright12 and I were talking about how far we were both driving for privates. She was making long trips for tumbling and all the things, and Winter was competing in partner stunt at the time and I was driving over an hour. We said, “What if we brought this closer to all of our friends?” Without hesitation, we both said, “Let’s do it.”

As we searched for a space, we found one that was much bigger than we needed. I told Dan what we were doing and said, “Why don’t you and your friends build something for sports performance too?” That’s how @thelab_hpi was born.

From the very beginning, our vision was never to build a cheer program. It was simple-to just throw some mats down and create a place where athletes could become better privately, coaches could have opportunities to grow, parents could feel welcome, and our community could have a positive environment to learn, train, and encourage one another.

Over the last year we’ve watched athletes accomplish skills they never thought possible, coaches pour into the next generation, kids build confidence, and even parents get stronger alongside their children. (Yes we have a mom workout in the AM) The smiles, friendships, and memories made within these walls have meant more than we could have ever imagined.

We don’t entertain negativity or drama. We simply want this to be a place where people feel supported, challenged, and celebrated.

To every athlete, coach, parent, and family who has trusted us and supported this little dream….thank you. You are the reason this place feels so special every single day.
