Both cars did the same lap time around Thunderhill East under similar conditions with the same driver
Miata was a 2:09.6 and the s2000 beat it with a 2:09.2 yet as we see in the video, both in two very different ways.
The 2:09 in the miata set the ceiling for a really fast lap with no aero or power boosts, whereas the 2:09 in the s2000 sets the floor for the stock car. One has way more potential and the other is close to being maxed out
So, what would you choose? NB Miata on XIDAs, RE71Rs, BBK, bucket seat & harness.. or an s2000 on lowering springs, brake pads & an alignment

S2 is a bouncy car, you can improve its capabilities with a good coilover set up but its a bouncy ride generally. You can see it in alot of the old hot version videos alot of the s2ks just seem to skip around gunsai.

Something is wrong with your s2000 shocks. My stock s2k shocks are flawless and I'd put 6-8 seconds on a Miata like that at my home track

I like Miatas because you won’t commit suicide if you bin it. Whereas I would likely cry if I binned an s2k

Same here, I get very similar times w/ my modded NB vs my stock S2k (also on ecs)
