Watching people line up to get The Risk Worth Taking signed at the Black Christian Influencer Conference did something to me I wasn’t ready for.

Because I remember being on the other side of that table. The one in the audience, hoping, wondering if my dream was too big. The one who almost didn’t take the risk at all.

And now my book is in their hands. People I’ve never met, holding a piece of my story, telling me it’s exactly what they needed.

Here’s the part I don’t always say out loud: there were so many moments I wanted to quit. Moments I felt unqualified, scared, like maybe this wasn’t for someone like me. I wrote this book anyway.

So if you’re holding a dream right now that feels too big, too risky, too late, let these photos be your sign. The thing on the other side of your fear might be the thing someone else has been praying for.
