Our beautiful boy, Haggis, has been going through a tough time. 😢
A tumour on one of his front legs has been causing him a lot of pain, discomfort, and difficulty.
Thankfully it is benign and hasn’t spread to other parts of his body, but it has been quite aggressive and grown rapidly.
He has been undergoing a lot of diagnostics and treatment, but we have reached the point where the only viable option is amputation.
Haggis has totally lost his spark recently. Although he’s losing a leg, this surgery will help him get his quality of life back.
We’re grateful for every single day we have with Haggis and we’re looking forward to having our little ray of sunshine back, even though there’ll be a little less of him. 🐶
He’ll adapt quickly and we’ve no doubt he’ll be doing his favourite things soon enough - digging holes in the sand and being the most popular boy in the Yumbo Centre! ❤️

Bless! Poor Haggis! I hope his recovery is swift. I’ve never met a three legged dog who has ever been slowed down by a missing limb! He’ll be back to himself in no time. ❤️❤️❤️🐾🐾🐾

Thanks everyone for all your lovely messages and words of support and love. Apologies we’ve not been able to reply directly but as you can imagine, Haggis is needing a lot of love, care and cuddles right now. He’s home recuperating and we’re seeing some small improvements already which is really encouraging. As soon as we’re able to, we’ll give some more updates. Thanks again Alan, Derec and Haggis 🐾
