25 days agoAs marathon week begins, this is the mindset I’m choosing. It’s so easy to compare ourselves to someone else’s finish time, training block, talent or journey. But we rarely see the full story behind those numbers. Different chapters. Different circumstances. Different strengths. Different battles. If I had to describe myself in training, it would be this: consistently disciplined. Not perfect. Not always confident. Not always flying. But consistent enough to keep showing up and disciplined enough to keep choosing the work even when it wasn’t easy. On Sunday, I won’t be racing anyone else’s story. I’ll be racing the version of me who started this journey months ago. The version who doubted herself. The version who got injured. The version who kept showing up anyway. Be here now. Say yes to the moment. The sun will come up tomorrow regardless. Nobody will remember my finish time as much as I’ll remember how I chose to show up. Me vs. me. Always. 🖤
