What happens when Pop art meets the Internet age?
For the contemporary portion of “Guggenheim Pop: 1960 to Now,” curator @mamacurator (Lauren Hinkson) brings CULTURED through a constellation of recent acquisitions that expand the movement’s legacy; from @mauriziocattelan’s ‘Comedian’ to @lucia_hierro_’s larger-than-life bodega bag, @danielgordonstudio’s photographic illusions, and Alex Da Corte’s immersive installation. Together, the works ask how images, objects, and popular culture continue to shape the way we see.

The banana is total BS! And I have 3 degrees in Visual Art. Duchamp already did this concept with the urine fountain. This is exactly why people hate contemporary art and I'm also an artist. I also hate a vast amount of contemporary pretentious stupid "art". Now, who wants to eat the banana?

I remember the “Comedian.” Hmm, I presume the underripe banana was recently replaced by Cattelan? 🤔😅

I'd like to know the author's name. I spend all day looking at art and a banana stuck on with electrical tape. After all I see, 6,000,000 million! 😂😂
