Through our hard work, dedication, resilience, and accomplishments, many times we adopt the mindset that we DESERVE blessings, favor, and increase. When in reality on our best day, we are filthy rags. We will never be good enough to deserve goodness, but He is so gracious, that he will continue to ensure we receive it. We deserve every negative thing our SIN and humanity purchased. We deserve everything Jesus TOOK THE FALL for! We deserve it ALL!
2 Corinthians 5:21 says “For God made Christ, who NEVER sinned, to be the OFFERING for our sin, so that WE could be MADE RIGHT with God THROUGH Christ.” We deserve the charges of sin that Jesus did the time for. We deserve the death that comes as a result of our sins. We don’t deserve the grace and mercy we are shown daily. But still he provides. No matter how many times we fall, God continues to be there as a safety net forgiving our sins and redeeming our shame.
“Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, to the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.”
(Jude 1:24-25 KJV)
Thank you Jesus for taking the fall for us, when we deserved it ALL! ✍🏾
