Kayden Johnson’s parents and their attorney joined Dr. Candice Matthews and other civil rights advocates in Dallas today to call for dismissal of the case involving their 13-year-old son and allegations at Life Time Fitness after a mistrial last week.

Following the press conference, the family says it received a plea offer but rejected it.

The next pretrial hearing is scheduled for Oct. 22.
