Students will showcase everything they have learned throughout the week, offering a unique glimpse into the creative process of contemporary dance. Evan hails from Central PA and made his way to the big Apple in 2003 where he studied at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. Since 2006, Evan has performed, taught, trained, and staged works internationally, predominantly with the Sean Curran Company and Shen Wei Dance Arts. Most recently, he performed in Martha Clarke’s Gods’ Fool and Bobbi Jene Smith's Lost Mountain at The LaMaMa Experimental Theater Club. He participated in Punchdrunk's Sleep No More NYC(2015-2016). In film, he was in Boaz Yakin's AVIVA, Jean Claude Billmaier's NULLA, and Rebecca Miller's She Came To Me. In opera, he has engaged with the Santa Fe Opera, Houston Grand Opera, Teatro di San Carlo, Opera Lafayette and currently works at the Metropolitan Opera. He performed the role of ‘the doppelganger’ in Claus Guth’s Doppelganger at the Park Avenue Armory(2023). Evan has taught dance and staged work at UW Madison, Vassar, Roger Williams, NYU Tisch School of the Arts, The Juilliard School and SUNY Purchase. He has been an adjunct professor at Kean University and NYU. Evan is an avid gym buff, yoga practitioner, dance/fitness teacher, theater nerd and tap dancer who watches films, loves hockey, forages mushrooms and loves pickles!
