Jorge Penadés treats design like a laboratory, where materials, form, and process are constantly tested and rethought. His practice is driven by curiosity, a deep respect for existing knowledge, and a quiet refusal to repeat what’s been done before.

Each project starts with close material exploration. Where things come from, how they age, and the cultural and environmental systems they sit within. Growing up in a post-crisis Mediterranean context shaped his instinct for resourcefulness and experimentation.

Making, for him, is inseparable from thinking.
