Another guitar build. Well… rebuild/mod. I had this really crappy knock-off strat that I got for Christmas all the way back in forth grade and never played it. After finishing the last guitar, I had an extra neck laying around that was just too good to not have it on a body. I hated the neck on the knock off strat and decided to change it out and while I was at it, give it an intentionally butchered spray paint job. I sanded it off and used teal, hot pink, white, and black specks. Taking inspo from blink’s 2003 Untitled album cover and Van Halen’s own guitar “Frankie” that had a cut-off pick-guard. This mini project only took a couple days. They say that 80% of guitars sound like crap because of the neck and nut. After changing both of those, I must say, this thing plays better than I could’ve ever imagined. I also only installed 5 tuning pegs to make it a true punk guitar. (Slide 2 is literally the only picture I have of the original thing)
