This heatwave has me craving ice cream and thinking about a cool little foodie find from last summer that somehow never made it onto my feedโฆ because Iโm a chronic procrastinator. ๐
I canโt count how many times Iโve driven past @bouzamtl on the way to my auntโs house in Laval, so I was excited to finally stop in with my foodie friends Sarah and Farzy.
It was my first time trying traditional Syrian bouza, and the texture completely surprised me. Itโs soft, stretchy, and unlike any ice cream Iโd had before.
If you know me, you know making decisions isnโt exactly my strong suit. ๐ I sampled about six flavours before finally committing to a split scoop of mango ๐ฅญ and wild blackberry ๐ซ. It was exactly what I wanted on a hot August afternoon.
One of my favourite things about living in Montrรฉal is that I can experience a new culture through food weekly without ever having to purchase a plane ticket. Sometimes the best discoveries are the places youโve driven past a hundred times before finally deciding to pull over.
