My husband came back from this bar in Palm Springs very proud. A daddy paid for his drink and called him the most handsome man in the room. I’m supportive. But I’m also competitive. So I went to the bar myself. A young man walked toward me. He said: “Hey, why don’t you buy me a drink, Daddy?” There’s always that moment in the life of a gay man when you realize you’ve become the daddy. And as I was swiping my credit card, supporting and caring for the youth, I realized: I’m ready to become an actual daddy 🫃🏻
