To me, what’s missing from the discourse around this song is class analysis. There seems to be no consistent standard for who gets condemned as a “scammer.” Individual acts are scrutinized while systemic exploitation is treated as moral. If we’re going to talk about exploitation, we should also discuss how the economic system itself functions through exploitation.

The question isn’t whether scamming is wrong. The question is why we apply that label to some forms of extraction but not others. If deception and exploitation are the standard, then our analysis should be consistent—from individuals to institutions.

I kinda agree with Indiaarie to have a song glorified for boosting and stealing should not be celebrated in our culture for the fact that yes stealing has become taboo in our culture to the point where we would excuse it because it talking about stealing from big corporation but also extends to stealing from our fellow man and our own community as to say its not that big of a deal.....but it is that big of a deal what other culture praise these actions per say🤷🏾‍♂️ We should strive beyond this! And also another reason why i dont watch BET. Thats not my kind of entertainment and definitely not part of my cultural experience. Maybe im a bit disconnected from reality with this or maybe just speaking from my own reality.
