Innovating from tradition requires first understanding and studying it. This month I begin my first fieldwork stage of my doctoral research in Chiapas and Yucatán, exploring Mexico’s constructive heritage and material practices to develop new sustainable approaches.
The research is supported by the UF Center for Latin American Studies at @uflorida and conducted under the supervision of experts such as archaeologist Dr. Whittaker Schroeder, who accompanies me on this journey.
