Bob Wilson’s set design “Here, Elsewhere”for Hermes May 2016

This immersive installation created by Robert Wilson to present the Hermès Maison home collection during New York Design Week. Staged at Cedar Lake in Chelsea, the exhibition combined theatrical lighting, live performers, video portraits, sound, and carefully arranged furniture to transform luxury objects into elements of a dreamlike narrative. Rather than displaying products in a conventional showroom, the experience blended Hermes’ designs with an immersive interior landscape to create a cohesive and dreamscape atmosphere. It presents the idea of “the dream of a house” rather than a realistic home.
