When i was married, i learned how to dance salsa (freestyle) from Him, it was so fun and great exercise, we are no longer married and i wish Maui had a place like yours for us to dance at.

HOWLERS ASSEMBLE! Excited to kick off the UK Red Rising tour in Edinburgh with @portybooks 🐺
Festival des Templiers, Le Grand Trail des Templiers, Millau, France. This race checks all the boxes for an October race. One of France’s oldest trail races, a massive festival of races all week, the grand course of 80km is the sweet spot for a « short » ultra - fast, yet progressively challenging and technical at times, and always good competition. Past champions include greats such as @thomas_lorblanchet @elliejgreenwood @miguelheras3 @sebastienspehler @ruthcrofty @jonalbon @thomas_cardin @caitlinpipfielder . That’s an alumni of champions worth being apart of and just some of the champions who go back to 1995. For me, this race represents a more familiar style of trail running that is more akin to American ultras, but towards the end of the year, takes place in Europe, and seems to have more bite to it than expected with the back half of the race chewing people up. I think Europeans who excel at this style can get under appreciated around the Alpes, where the big mountain races usually take the biggest spotlights. This race requires a balanced trail runner, good at more than just steep or just flat. In 2022, I wanted to go all in on the French race scene and specifically, give UTMB a real shot without racing Western States two months before. For a tune up instead, I lined up for @ultratourdubeaufortain. Eventually at UTMB, I ended up bonking while in the lead around ~135km, in the early morning, and eventually falling outside of the podium. It was close but disappointing, and I was still eager to race more in France. So I came back in October ready to tackle another French classic here at Les Templiers. It was a welcome shift back to familiar territory after coming over specifically for the big mountain trails and long days hiking. The race at Templiers in 2022 was a special battle with multiple time winner @sebastienspehler. I really look forward to coming back to this race, but this year, I’m excited to be watching Hoka teammates @francesco.puppi @sylvaincachard @judithwyder @mlynarczyk.martyna. Bon courage à tous !
