The hardest part is feeling so helpless as our baby gets poked and prodded every day - getting blood transfusions, surgeries, and being pumped with medications to help him live. I am grateful to God that modern medicine has allowed babies to have the support they need after being born so early, but all he really needed was more time inside me and all of this pain would have been avoided.
So as parents we do the only thing we know to do: show up for him every day and pray without ceasing.

as a NICU nurse, i see you. I know those days in the NICU seem endless & like torture but you showing up for your baby & above all praying, makes such a difference in the way he is and will do. His story will be a testimony but girl so will yours & your husbands. God is holding you all so closely and letting you learn what it means to be a family at such an early stage, treasure these private moments away for just you 3 because soon, he’ll be out there rocking the world letting people know your story.
