Elon Musk has often credited his habit of reading books with helping him learn about rockets, engineering and technology.

Growing up, he reportedly spent up to 10 hours a day reading and even worked his way through encyclopedias.

When asked how he learned to build rockets despite having no formal aerospace engineering degree, Musk replied, “I read books.”

Musk also encourages learning across different subjects and questioning information instead of accepting everything as true.

Some days being a T1D mom looks like managing blood sugars, counting carbs, changing pump sites, and making a thousand decisions nobody sees.

Other days, it’s reminding myself that I can’t give up. Someone is counting on me to be their pancreas.

Even when I’m exhausted.
Even when the alarms never stop.
Even when diabetes feels like too much.

Because we’re not just raising our kids. We’re helping keep them alive while teaching them how to manage a disease they’ll carry for the rest of their lives.

And no matter how independent he becomes, I’ll always be his backup pancreas. 💙

To every T1D parent running on empty but still showing up, I see you.

Photos and videos online showed the state of rainwater collected in pails in Singapore following a downpour on Oct. 15, 2026, as hazy conditions persisted.

Haze from forest fires contain soot, ash, and unburned carbon.

The process where rain washes fine particles, including PM2.5, out of the air is known as “wet deposition” or “rain scavenging”.

The relief is usually short-lived. But the resultant grey and murky residue can coat cars and plants when they fall on the ground with the rain.
