You can't cosplay the revolutionary war and condemn the Arab Spring. Republicans are all about self defense and the bearing of arms, except when it comes to Muslims.
Best London tour ever. 845HP 1965 Hoonicorn with Ken Block. Ken Block wasn't just a driver. He was a force of nature who turned YT into his personal playground. Before the rally fame, he co-founded DC Shoes, sold it, and at 37 decided to chase his childhood dream of racing. He wasn't the most decorated rally driver, but he was the one who made the whole world care about drifting and car culture. His death in January 2023 hit everyone hard. This legendary episode was filmed back in 2016, when he took Matt LeBlanc on a tour of London in the Hoonicorn. The BBC even got complaints about the noise from locals, but that's exactly what made the episode unforgettable. In ten minutes, he turned a boring tour into an adrenaline show, and LeBlanc's reactions were priceless. Ken's approach to stunts was pure and fearless. He once said that handling the fear was getting harder as he got older, but he kept pushing the limits anyway. That's why people loved him. He made the impossible look fun, whether he was drifting around a three-wheeled Reliant Robin, chasing James May around an airfield, or doing donuts on Whitehall. He was a visionary, a pioneer, and a true legend who brought millions of people into the car community. He'll always be the guy who showed us that cars aren't just for getting from A to B - they're for making some noise and having a blast. On this day 27 years ago in 1999, Martha Stewart realized the full potential of her dream: she took her self-made company public. It was not long after she bought back her company from Time Warner in 1997 that Martha and her company’s CEO, Sharon Patrick, embarked on one of the most talked about initial public offerings of that decade.  What was so remarkable about it was that by the end of that day, stock in Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia had almost doubled its initial offering price of $18 to end at $35.56 per share! As the principle shareholder, this made Martha Stewart a billionaire, literally overnight. On this day, Martha became America’s first self-made female billionaire!  Excitement at the NYSE was palpable that day. After the opening bell, which Martha rang herself, she tossed Martha Stewart Living baseball caps from the balcony to the frenzied traders below. Joining Martha at the podium was MSLO President and CEO Sharon Patrick, MSLO Chief Creative Officer Gael Towey, her daughter Alexis and NYSE President William Johnston. Martha later joined her staff outside under a large tent at the base of the stairs to the NYSE to serve homemade brioche, scones and freshly-squeezed orange juice to the traders. The tent was decorated with elaborately-carved Halloween jack-o-lanters, dried corn stalks and autumnal garlands. This was the ultimate Martha day! @marthastewart48 📸 James Leynse @gettyimages
