Thank you for joining us in celebrating the launch of the second print edition of our magazine as we brought G5A’s tenth season to a close!
A room full of stories was brought to life by the Editor-in-Chief’s address:
”Are you rushing or are you dragging?”
”I am reminded of this emotionally charged leitmotif from Whiplash, as I consider our efforts to arrive at the second print edition of our magazine. Many of the pieces coincidentally (or perhaps intentionally) grapple with the question of time. Asking us to investigate this construct and how it informs our daily passing through it. It is not ours to hold or lose but rather ours to flow through. The passage of time.
Keeping time; rushing through.
Making time: dragging along.
Losing time: reaching back.”
