Sunday workshop with the incredible @auroranova_burlesque ♥️
Now, in all honesty I forgot my robe... 😅 I’m used to overpacking and always having spare tights, clothes, kneepads etc so realising I have nothing a minute before the start I was mortified!!
What Aurora told us during class helped me calm down and make the most of it. Whether we had a long robe, short robe or something else entirely we look at the features of our garment, emphasise those and Make It Burlesque. We are the ones who do that, not the garments.
And then I remembered the trend that’s going round instagram - do something ordinary but make it *Burlesque*
It’s funny but I feel like this is one of the core principles of Neo Burlesque and I love it for that ♥️
