My dad would sing this song to wake me up in the morning. I remember singing it with my cousins waking up in Iran.
Until this week, I had never heard the original by Mohammad Nouri with actual accompaniment. It was only ever sung to me acapella, like a nursery rhyme.
I finally listened to the original and it’s more beautiful than I ever knew. The way the chords land changes everything. ♥️

One little nitpick with the translation, it's not "My dear Maryam" it's "Maryam's dear" Maryam's the one this songs is written from the perspective of. It's basically her saying "my dear"
