At Studio Palco, we believe that if artists dedicate years to developing their work, we should dedicate just as much intention to understanding what helps artistic practices grow.

The book explores a simple but transformative idea: what if artist residencies valued flexible rhythms over rigid deadlines? It proposes three ways of thinking about time—space-time for creative growth, care-time for well-being, and soil-time for slow, sustainable development.

It’s a reminder that meaningful artistic practices aren’t built through constant acceleration.

They’re built through time, care, curiosity, and the conditions that allow ideas to mature.
