I had similar conversations with 3 people this morning about the same thing. We were discussing our loved ones passing. I offered what I believe to be true in those exchanges. I believe the simple best way to honor those we have lost, is to be the best we can be while still here. In many cases, being the person our loved ones knew we can be.
Indirectly Donovan inspired me to be better on many levels. He didn’t do a lot of steering; he could lead by example and it would sometimes come up in conversations and I would continue learn how patient and sincere he was. He was not perfect in his practices and he knew it. He strived to be better and that’s the measure of a man.
Donovan was one of those friends who make you feel more confident about what you’re doing because he was not only rooting for you, but he also had a real belief in you.
Miss tf out you and your laugh. Cobweb Crew forever, even though we did get some burn our last 2 years. (Pratt 🏀, Flatbush, Brooklyn basketball community—stand up) Love you D.
Prayers and love to his family, friends and especially his son in this time.
