Meta has quietly added a feature to Instagram, that allows anyone to create with and reuse your content with its new MuseAI program, and it’s automatically turned on for public profiles.
If you want to turn that shit off, this is how;
- Navigate to your profile and tap on the three lines in the top right hand corner to open your settings.
- Scroll down until you see “Sharing and Reuse”.
- In that menu, you will find the sections “Allow people to create with and reuse your content” and “Allow people to create with and reuse your original audio on Meta AI”.
- Turn all the sliders in these sections to disabled.
If you can’t find these settings, you may need to update your app.
With the rise in AI usage by the corporations that own these platforms, it’s more important than ever to remain vigilant about what you give them access to.
