BUBBLE TEA AND CIGARETTES

music video for ‘bluebird’, directed & illustrated by Kat, shot & edited by ourselves 🤍

kat: we wrote these songs in the middle of the winter, but when we’re done with producing them it’s already end of april. we wanted to shoot a music video but all we could’ve pictured was snow (while nyc was in the 90 degrees lol) so we took an improvised trip simply driving north until we could find snow. ended up 15 hours away all the way up into the mountains in quebec

hope these two songs bring u a different kind of summer <3

btw the main character in the mv - her name is aoi-chan!! it’s my first time making animation, so i really hope u guys like it

andi: it’s my first time writing for a 40 ppl strings orchestra too. i’m always obsessed with strings, but i’ve never went through formal music education so the idea of writing for an orchestra was daunting at first. couldn’t be more proud of how the song came out. to me, it’s a song/video about letting go the ideal version of oneself as we grow up. but perhaps it would mean different things to different ppl… hope u like the song as much as we do 😌
