ep ‘bluebook’ has been released for a couple weeks now 😌 these two songs are probably the ones we spent the most time on ever - recording and re-recording layers and layers of vocals, iterating on the strings arrangement, second guessing the lyrics, making our own music video from scratch… lots of love was poured into these songs, and we simply hope perhaps they took you to somewhere beautiful… 🤍

here are some stills from the music video for ‘bluebird’, illustrated by kat, directed and shot by ourselves

go watch it on youtube if u haven’t! 🤍

a week ago we had an all stars aligned moment in toronto - where we had the most amazing audience, the venue of a dream, the coolest festival and super talented staff, and probably our best performance ever - all happened in one night. we had such a high that now we’re still suffering post-show depression after a week, haha 🥲

toronto, we hope u felt the same way (maybe not the depression part, cough cough)

thanks everyone for creating and being a part of this dream 🖤 we can’t wait to go back again

big big thanks to @lovelesscollectivex 🎉 for organizing an incredible festival like this. we feel ur love for music and art, deeply 🖤

huge huge shoutout to our drummer 🥁@rintaro_mikami and dancer 💃 @rits__n - best tour crew ever!!

music video for ‘bluebird’, directed & illustrated by Kat, shot & edited by ourselves 🤍

kat: we wrote these songs in the middle of the winter, but when we’re done with producing them it’s already end of april. we wanted to shoot a music video but all we could’ve pictured was snow (while nyc was in the 90 degrees lol) so we took an improvised trip simply driving north until we could find snow. ended up 15 hours away all the way up into the mountains in quebec

hope these two songs bring u a different kind of summer <3

btw the main character in the mv - her name is aoi-chan!! it’s my first time making animation, so i really hope u guys like it

andi: it’s my first time writing for a 40 ppl strings orchestra too. i’m always obsessed with strings, but i’ve never went through formal music education so the idea of writing for an orchestra was daunting at first. couldn’t be more proud of how the song came out. to me, it’s a song/video about letting go the ideal version of oneself as we grow up. but perhaps it would mean different things to different ppl… hope u like the song as much as we do 😌 by @bubbleteaandcigarettes

EP ‘bluebook’ is now out on all streaming platforms 🤍

01 seventeen little stars
02 bluebird

MV for ‘bluebird’, directed and illustrated by Kat, shot with 8mm film and edited by ourselves, is now on YouTube too ❄️

The two songs felt like confessions between two lovers, and we thought it’s the best that they get released together in this form 🖤

it’s been a while!

life’s been hectic and we just realized that WSHKEO turned one year old 🎂

the album is about emptiness, numbness, and hopelessness in the form of love. the process of writing, releasing, and touring the album has felt like a process of healing, and perhaps we’re gradually getting out of that phase of life thanks to all the beautiful gifts this album gave us.

hearing you guys supporting us and resonating with our feelings has simply been the most wonderful thing that has happened to us. we are forever grateful 🖤

stay strong 🖤

xoxo,

kat & andi
