Catch How Green Nursery on @bbctodayprogramme on @bbcradio4 tomorrow at 7.20am.
We'll be discussing our decision to pull out of contract growing for the @the_rhs Chelsea Flower Show for 2027.
There are many factors including extremes of weather, financial margins and stress for the team and business that is making show growing increasingly challenging.
Coupled with the RHS's stance on 100% peat free for next year, we've gracefully withdrawn.
We're fully committed to becoming 100% peat-free with our own production by the end of 2026. We're so nearly there! With our experience in 'growing on' in peat free for the last six years, we're extremely confident of meeting our target.
A bit too soon for us for the 2027 show season!
