@chakademusandpliersmusic THE GREATEST CLUB BANGER OF ALL TIME @sisternancy - Originating from the Bam Bam Riddim by Byron Lee & Ronnie Nasralla 1966 - which has been sampled 100s of times. Because it’s THAT GOOD - you can research the history of the lyrics to understand the dark/personal inspiration. Plier & Chaka Demus apparently both wrote from different experiences
india on my plate • ep 4 - assam • til diya kukura mangxo/ black sesame chicken ingredients: 1. chicken: 600 g 2. black sesame seeds: ½ cup 3. mustard oil: ¼ cup 4. onions: 2 medium, sliced 5. green chillies: 3, chopped 6. ginger garlic paste: 1 tbsp 7. turmeric powder: ¼ tsp 8. salt: to taste 9. cumin powder: 1.5 tsp 10. garam masala: 1.5 tsp 11. hot water: 1½ cups for garnishing: 1. fresh coriander 2. 2–3 slit green chillies 3. lemon juice (optional) method: 1. start by dry roasting the black sesame seeds on low heat until fragrant. keep stirring and be careful not to burn them, since it’s difficult to tell when black sesame is over-roasted. let them cool, then grind into a fine powder and set aside. 2. heat mustard oil in a pan. add the sliced onions and cook until translucent. add the chopped green chillies, ginger garlic paste and turmeric. continue cooking until the onions soften. 3. add the chicken and salt. cook on high heat for about 3 minutes, then add the roasted black sesame powder. mix well and cook for another 2 minutes. 4. pour in 1½ cups of hot water, cover and let the chicken cook for 20–25 minutes, or until tender. 5. once the chicken is cooked, remove the lid and increase the heat to medium-high. add cumin and garam masala powder. continue cooking until the excess water evaporates, the gravy thickens and the oil begins to separate. 6. finish with fresh coriander, slit green chillies and a squeeze of lemon if you like. serve hot with rice or roti! #indiaonmyplate #assamesefood #assamesecuisine #blacksesamechicken #regionalindianfood
Genuinely the scariest day of our lives. Go watch on @samandcolby 🍿🍿🍿😭
Never give up. 諦めないで. Asian Games 2026 Gold medalist Yui SUSAKI never did. I first met Yui a few years ago, during her training camp in France ahead of the 2024 Olympics. Despite her incredible wrestling record, she was approachable, always smiling and welcoming to everyone. A year later, we met again, first to document her training at her gym in Tokyo, then in Normandy for the NWC. No matter the occasion, she always welcomed me with her unique energy and warmth. An amazing human being behind the athlete. I’m so honoured to have had her as a friend throughout these years. After she missed out on Olympic gold, I honestly didn’t know how she would react, given how untouchable her record had seemed until then. But she handled it with grace, and got straight back to work. Such an example of resilience for us all. Sometimes you lose, sometimes you win. But what matters most is this: Trust the process and embrace the grind, no matter what. I was so honoured to witness her compete at the Asian Games in Japan this year and bring home the gold medal. Thank you for reminding us all to : Never give up.
