I’ve tested so much holiday decor this year, and these are the only pieces that made the cut. Every one looks more expensive than it is and will come out of storage year after year. If you only shop one Christmas roundup, make it this one.

Nobody has ever successfully explained to me how the wedding industry convinced men that spending $40,000 on one afternoon is a reasonable financial decision. I don’t want to spend $80 on parking at an NFL game, but apparently I’m fine paying $2,500 for flowers that will be dead by Wednesday. We’re renting chairs, renting tables, renting suits, and hiring a photographer to take 900 pictures of us pretending we don’t know where the camera is. The DJ wants $1,800 to press play on Mr. Brightside. And the best part? I’ll spend half the reception shaking hands with relatives I’ve never met while the $300 dinner I paid for gets cold. Could’ve bought a boat. At least the boat would’ve come with cup holders.
