So that’s it MUGB is officially over! This past week has been an absolute rollercoaster. It’s been non-stop, emotional and just crazy all in all. I was beyond scared stepping into my first pageant but I am beyond proud to have completed it. Walking on stage was absolutely exhilarating and it filled my heart with joy. It was funny because throughout the week I got told lots of advice about pageantry and what people ‘tend to like’. Although I did listen to it, in the end I decided to not be conventional and just be unapologetically myself throughout the final. I had so much fun just not caring about anyone’s judgement and making myself and my friends and family proud. I had the most amazing support in the crowd who were always cheering for me and my perfect boyfriend @gtclomas staying with me throughout the week and that’s something I will eternally be grateful for. I met the most amazing, empowering and inspiring girls and I am so proud for @angelaaumonier 💜will be making a post about that later. Although this was my first pageant, it will also be my last. I enjoyed every minute of this process (walking on stage in a swimsuit like who would’ve thought I’d have the courage to do that ever) and for me, it was a once in a lifetime opportunity. I realised that getting up at 5am to do my hair and makeup, sort outfits, change outfits within 5 minutes in cramped changing rooms and to always be perceived as conventionally perfect wasn’t a lifestyle I can maintain forever. I will always be grateful to @paulaabbandonato and @danilatimer for giving me the chance to experience this and I will always be proud of myself for being a finalist this year. I would’ve never thought I’d be doing anything like this in my wildest dreams. I’ve had no previous experience, training or even any modelling experience but I know now that I will always continue to model and find chances to shine and be an advocate for causes I am passionate about💎No more pageantry for me, but an experience I will cherish forever and one that has shaped me for the better❤️
