I covered young fashion-conscious fans from all backgrounds watching yesterday’s England match against Norway for the Guardian in Peckham, South East London. As you’d expect, a lively bunch watching Jude Bellingham saving the day again, and taking to the streets at midnight to celebrate. As the writer said, there’s still a recognition of the right-wing, nationalistic connotations of the logo the three lions carries, but for the young people of South East London, there was a sense of pride in reclaiming the emblem to represent a national team that’s more inclusive. #worldcup2026 #peckham #streetphotography #londonstreets #eyeshotmagazine @guardian @theguardian20photos
