guttate = spots
hypomelanosis = missing melanin
The condition is caused by cumulative UV exposure. It often take decades to get to this point. It’s not harmful and cosmetically, I think it actually looks pretty cool like reverse freckles. & no it’s not at all related to vitiligo.
Regular sunscreen use would have prevented this. But again, it’s not harmful at all.

No ma’am lol 😂 she’s using bleaching or brightening products that have damaged those areas and it becomes more visible when the normal non-damaged skin tans. Melanin is sunscreen.. 😂 y’all just say anything on the internet

So our freckles that get darker and more prominent in the sun, are the opposite of what happens to yall?!? Yall get white freckles/spots and we get dark freckles/spots

I BEEN WONDERIN’ WHAT THESE WHITE DOTS ON MY LEG WERE FROM!!! (I am aware that I am very light skinned, I’m half Asian. I do not burn in the sun and get very dark very quickly)

Thank you for showing! It's so, so important to take care of yourself in the sun. It may be beautiful and a source of life, but it can be deadly too.
