The condition is caused by cumulative UV exposure. It often take decades to get to this point. It’s not harmful and cosmetically, I think it actually looks pretty cool like reverse freckles. & no it’s not at all related to vitiligo.

Regular sunscreen use would have prevented this. But again, it’s not harmful at all.

it’s devastating to think about the the evils that happened behind those prison walls, but even more devastating (to me, at least) for the harm to be largely ignored by the skincare & dermatology industry.

I’ve been in entire seminars about rentinoic acid (Retin-A/Tretinoin) and people will bring up Dr. Kligman but not a peep about the violent experiments.

i filmed this back in September of last year, and funny enough, in the last 2 weeks I’ve seen both @javonford16 and @teenvogue discussing it.

I’m glad the Idea Fairy came down and sprinkled this in our heads because my goodness. It’s important.

None of us fell out of a coconut tree.

We exist in the context of all that is, and came before us.

When you only post one type of content online, people on the internet stop seeing you as a whole person. They stop seeing you as dynamic and multifaceted. i just become this worker. A resource, but not human.
& they just want you to fit into their narrow perception. & then when you don’t, they get so angry. very, very, very angry.

Been there, done that. hate it.

Every time I post skincare content I get a huge influx of followers and then I post personal content and get a huge wave of unfollows. but it’s okay. eventually i’ll be back on the grind, more whole, more centered, with more joy.

my suitcase with ALL my clothes got stolen in Los Angeles, so let’s have a memorial for all my favorite items that i will never see again. :(

luckily it was nothing super valuable & no designer or electronics but i’m still kinda sad about it.

if you see a homeless person with a pink metallic Calpack carry-on bag, tell them i hope the xs hoochie clothes are serving them well 🥲 by @labeautyologist

@badashbakes_ the bestttttttt matcha (get the strawberry banana! 🍓🍌) and the pastries are INSANE (brown sugar cookie, cornbread cookie, chocolate chip cookie, s’mores brownie)
& the owner @sobadash_ is just a lovely person overall

& then Chilli’s because Sheba and I are a little insane even though we hide it well 😅
