While the tri-bike and goggles take a break, an older passion has been re-awakened ….

My dad got me into golf when I was 14 and was hooked right away. Played high school golf on the team then on and off through my 7 years in Europe … and when Kerri suggested moving back to Arizona 20+ years ago it was no brainer because I could play year round 😂

I proved quite a bit to myself during my 50th year alive with 3 triathlons last year including Alcatraz, Maui volcano loop and Ironman Portugal and I’m now ready to change gears …

Leveraging some local teachers and AI for training I’m going to step into a competitive Amateur mindset and continue learning about myself through sport / game / practice ….

Tomorrow it begins … a qualifier event for an Arizona event …

For the next year or so I commit to self study and practice and to put myself on the line with others much better than me to test it all out….

2 goals … to enter qualifiers for Us Open and Us Mid Amateur…. Gulp!
