The "DMV" owes me nothing!!! 🫡
Aside from this weekend being a cool performance opportunity at the nation's capital, it was a reunion from like six different circles of my life so I was on "Cloud 9" the whole weekend. 😁
I was able to reconnect with high school peeps, fellow @fsu_broncos and @thembxpress alumni, @hillcountrypicnic North Mississippi Hill Country Family, @spoletofestivalusa family ( @swanstudiosnyc , Andreas, Nancy, and Ben) one of my stepdaughters 😏🤭, Barbara flew in from Charlotte for the mayhem 🤪, and I was able to make some new connections as well 😎.
Speaking of, I met a beautiful soul who was hanging out in the garden while we were sound-checking. She came up, we swapped pleasantries, and she expressed that she was glad that she was able to catch the sound check because she was not able to get a ticket from the lottery. 😢
The venue contact told us they only accept 4,000 out of the 60,000 people who submitted a request for a pass to the event. 🫠 So many people often go without winning a ticket for years.
Lucky for her, some of my family members changed their plans due to the incoming unsettling weather, so I had a few extra passes to bless people with. She was very ecstatic and enjoyed the performance. I am appreciative that she was able to grab some footage from the front view. Thank you Betty
This first clip was SUPPOSED to be a "Bustin' Loose" teaser into a hill country song, but the @chuckbrownband groove felt so good, we kept it right there. 😎
