Meet @hiiit_music in our Artist Spotlight!
HIIIT is an idiosyncratic collective of musicians in varying line-ups. Driven by rhythm and a curiosity for sound in all its forms, HIIIT explores the boundaries of new music. The musicians of HIIIT focus on performing, developing, and innovating contemporary percussion music in the broadest sense of the word.
SIIIX, Vol.3 is the latest chapter in the The Hague-based ensemble ongoing collaborative series. Curated by HIIIT member Frank Wienk ( @binkbeats ), the project pairs the collective’s expansive archive of percussion recordings with a carefully selected group of artists operating across the experimental electronic spectrum. For this third edition, @toumba__ , @konduku , @slikback , @33emybw , Jung An Tagen and @lemnamusic each engage in a two-way exchange, incorporating newly recorded, track-specific percussion into their compositional processes. Get know HIIIT better via link in bio!
